For my project I have decided to make a hip-hop music/skate
culture magazine, the magazine will include articles ranging from those solely
focused on music but will also have other features based on research into what
my target audience would enjoy reading about. My target audience is made up
primarily of 16 – 21 year old males and females (roughly 75% male 25% female).
People who are likely to read my magazine are probably also interested in the
latest up and coming artists and tracks, these are both things that will be
heavily referenced on the cover through the cover lines and will most likely
also play some role in the main cover image. I have considered the fact that my
magazine will have to be made to a relatively low price bracket due to its
audience being comprised mainly of students who are not likely to fork out £4
for a glossy highly polished magazine.
